Whole-house water filtration system outside a Florida home

Clean water at every tap

City water is disinfected with chlorine or chloramine to keep it safe. That’s a good thing, but it can leave a taste and smell, dry out skin and hair, and wear down rubber parts over time. A whole-house carbon filter installed at the main line reduces chlorine and improves taste and smell everywhere in the home.

Filters pair well with a softener: the filter handles taste and odor, while the softener handles hardness and scale.

Whole-House Filtration FAQ

What does a whole-house filter remove?

Carbon filters mainly reduce chlorine and chloramine and the taste and odor they cause. Sediment filters catch sand and particles. The right setup depends on your water test.

Will a filter lower my water pressure?

Not if it’s sized correctly for your home’s flow. That’s why we size every system.

How often do filters need changing?

It depends on the system and your usage. Some cartridges are changed every few months, while larger media tanks last years.

Is a filter the same as a softener?

No. A filter removes things like chlorine and sediment. A softener removes hardness minerals. Many homes use both.
