Whole-house repiping

Leak after leak, weak showers or discolored water? A whole-house repipe replaces every water line in your home with new PEX or copper, planned to keep wall openings small and your water on as much as possible.

One project instead of endless repairs

Every pipe in a home ages at about the same rate. When one section starts leaking from corrosion or failed fittings, the rest usually isn’t far behind. A whole-house repipe replaces the supply lines from the main shut-off to every fixture, so you stop paying for one emergency after another.

We map the existing piping first, plan the shortest and cleanest new routes through walls, attic or crawl space, and replace the shut-off valves and fixture stops along the way. Everything is pressure-tested before the walls are patched.

Signs it’s time to repipe

Repeated leaks

Two or three pinhole or fitting leaks in a year usually means the whole system is wearing out.

Low water pressure

Corroded pipes narrow on the inside, so showers and faucets slowly lose flow.

Rusty or discolored water

Brown or yellow water, especially after the water has been off, points to corroding pipes.

Known problem materials

Polybutylene and galvanized steel are both past their expected life in most homes.

PEX or copper?

Both are excellent. We’ll recommend what fits your home and budget.

Most common

PEX

Flexible, freeze- and scale-resistant, fewer fittings and faster to install, which usually means fewer wall openings.

Copper

Traditional, very long-lasting and ideal for exposed runs, mechanical rooms and water heater connections.

Hybrid

PEX through the walls with copper at the water heater and exposed areas, often the best of both.

Partial repipe

Only one area failing? We can replace a single run, such as the kitchen or a slab line.

How a whole-house repipe works

  1. Inspection & plan

We identify your pipe material, map the runs and plan the new routes.

  2. Protect your home

Floors and furniture are covered, and wall openings are kept as small as possible.

  3. Install & pressure test

New lines and shut-offs are installed, then the system is pressure-tested.

  4. Inspection & walkthrough

Permit inspection where required, then we walk you through the new system.

Whole-House Repiping FAQ

How long does a whole-house repipe take?

Most single-family homes take a few days, depending on size and layout. We restore water at the end of each workday whenever possible.

Do I have to move out during a repipe?

Usually not. Most families stay home, with water off only during working hours.

Will you open my walls?

Some small openings are needed to run the new lines. We plan routes to keep them to a minimum and leave them ready for patching.

Does a repipe need a permit?

In most Florida jurisdictions, yes. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection.

Does repiping add value to my home?

New water lines remove a common concern for buyers and inspectors, especially in older homes with polybutylene or galvanized pipe.
